Sherman Web Design Docs: switch app

Getting started

Sherman Studio hosts small websites and lets you build and change them by talking to an AI assistant. There is no page builder to learn: you describe what you want, the assistant makes the change, and anything risky asks you to confirm first.

1. Sign in

Go to studio.shermanwebdesign.com and sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple (more about sign-in). A new account gets 5,000 credits once, to try things out. By signing in you agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

2. Create a site

Ask the assistant in the studio, for example: “Create a site called Grace Harbor Church at graceharbor”. Your site is live at once at graceharbor.sitehost.dev (about site addresses), and you are its owner. You can own up to 5 active sites; creating one needs a credit balance above 0.

3. Build and change it

  • Describe pages and changes in plain words: “add an events page”, “change the phone number in the footer”, “make the header dark blue”.
  • Pages are built from templates. Changes are saved as drafts; publishing makes them live and asks you to confirm. Every change is logged in the site's Activity and can be rolled back.
  • Upload images and PDFs under Files, or ask the assistant to copy them from your old site.
  • Forms, logins, data and email are done with flows.
  • Invite other people from the site's People tab (viewer, editor, admin or owner).

4. Or use your own AI

Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and other MCP clients can manage your sites directly: see Connect your AI client.

5. Put it on your own domain

Connect a domain you already have, or buy one in the studio: see Domains and mail forwarding.

6. Credits

Everything is paid with prepaid credits (1,000 credits = $1): the assistant's AI use, your sites' traffic and storage, visitor sign-ins and custom domains. There is no monthly plan. See Billing and credits for the prices and the credit packs.
